HAMPTON FIRE STATION #3 RENDERING

This Design/Bid/Build consists of the construction of a new 16,000+ square foot Fire Station facility and ancillary construction. The project will consist of utility services, furnishings, security and access control equipment, appliances, IT/network equipment, and radio and alerting system equipment and devices. An additional alternate of Apparatus Bay #4 is to be a repetition of an interior/middle bay. Also, fourfold doors, instead of overhead doors will be used at the front of the apparatus bay.

Multi-Purpose Canine Ops Facility JEB Little Creek / Fort Story

This integrated Design-Build project provided the new kennel facility to support the Naval Special Warfare Group TWO (NSWG2) Multi-Purpose Canine (MPC) Program. The Program supports 16 canines includes both indoor and outdoor stainless steel enclosed kennel areas.

P-160 CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT FOR CUS ISR OPERATIONS EXPANSION

The project consists of the phased construction of an 18,000 square foot new addition attached to the current facility.  The new addition will be constructed of a structural steel frame, elevated structural concrete slab, exterior precast and split face masonry, and a modified bitumen roof system.  The 24,000 square foot existing building will be remodeled to compliment the expanded spaces to meet mission requirements for the Department of the Navy.

P-518 MH60 HELICOPTER TRAINING FACILITY

Based on the government requirement to reduce helicopter flight hours and still attain mission readiness requirements for the MH60 Navy helicopter squadron, this government procurement will provide two new helicopter simulators that will support operational sustainment training in the new high-bay addition.

U.S. Naval Observatory Renovation

Located in the heart of Washington, DC. and originally built in 1893, the US Naval Observatory is not only the home of the historic 26 inch refractor telescpoe but it is also serves as the historic residence of key government personnel. Project exemplars included fast-track design, task order based contract delivery in design-build environment engaged with multiple agency stakeholders and NAVFAC organizational leads.

River Terrace section of Pentagon Replacement

Urgent multi-phased paving removal and replacement for River Terrace section of Pentagon to stop the critical deterioration of existing asphalt pavement and damage to Government vehicles.

C27 APO RENOVATE BUILDINGS 14 & 79

This Design-Build (DB) project consisted of phased renovations to two separate buildings (11,000 SQFT.) for the stand-up of the C27 Asset Project Office (APO). Bldg. 79 required interior renovations to create a permanent space to provide computer and administrative areas needed by flight crew members and maintenance technicians.

B250 DB HVAC UPGRADES

This integrated Design Build (DB) project team provided the engineering and new construction of the chilled water systems supporting key operations centers in Building 250 (9,000 SQFT). General design and construction included the key aspect of the project was to provide a new redundant (N + N) external 385-ton Chilled Water (CW) systems supporting mission critical spaces of existing high-security structures.

B355 / B250 DB RENOVATIONS

This integrated Design-Build (DB) team provided the complete demolition, re-design and new construction of key operations centers at Building 250 and Building 355 (12,000 SQFT) . Due to the high-security environment of the facility and the fact that most of internal construction was conducted while spaces were occupied, Syncon DB team successfully managed access and escort requirements to conducted work during regular and after hours.

DRY DOCK 4, NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD (NNSY)

This Design-Bid-Build (DBB) project involved multiple disciplines where work was conducted in a high traffic operational area between to Submarine dry docks. The project included extensive high voltage manhole survey to support the new conductor routing, and enlargement of the size of the electrical vault two support new switch gear. Special scheduling was applied to sequence the work in four (4) phased parts to coordinate with the busy and ongoing activities of the piers.

BLDG 127, AEGIS ASHORE TEAM TRAINER (AATT) INSTALLATION

Syncon provided a high-fidelity AEGIS Ashore Trainer at Gallery Hall, Dam Neck Annex, housing a Lockheed Martin mock-up of the combat information center providing our US Sailors and teams the opportunity to experience working with the system, and to certify for operations prior to deployment to Romania and other locations.

NAS OCEANA BUILDING 536

This is a Design-Build Project in support of the Navy Gateway Inns and Suites (NGIS) mission to provide hotel grade accommodations for active duty military personnel. During the design phase, Syncon and our Designer of Record, Waller Todd & Sadler worked in collaboration with the government and client to ensure the requirements of the RFP were properly captured for the end product.

BUILDING 56 (WATER PLANT) DEFENSE SUPPLY CENTER RICHMOND (DSCR)

This Design-Bid-Build (DBB) project for the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) was conducted on the secure facility of the Defense Supply Center Richmond (DSCR).

NAS OCEANA AIR FIELD FIRE STATION

This design-build project was performed on an active fire station that had to remain operational and supports the Emergency Crash Response Unit for the NAS Oceana Air Field.

BLDG 101 Enclave Renovation

Located in a remote location, this complex and fast-track Design-Build project required substantial architectural, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, telecommunications and intruder detection systems (IDS) renovations to support the operational and security requirements for our government client.

B407 Global Compass Enclave Renovation

Due to urgent scheduling requirements of the activity, our Design-Build (DB) team designed while simultaneously conducting demolition and construction activities.

P-500 PIER 11 POWER UPGRADES

P-500 is a critical project indirect support of the FORD class aircraft carrier and brought approximately 3X higher electrical power rating to the double decker Pier 11. It was a Design Build project that incorporated multiple disciplines to design and construct in a highly congested and operational area. This was the “Proto-Type” design for the future areas that will support the ship worldwide and require a high level of collaboration with the NAVFAC design team and end user.
