Campus Bell Tower

Scope
The tower was designed by VMDO and built by another large GC firm. Chris Brandt (Syncon Business Development) was the Executive Vice President at another large GC firm during the entire design and construction. Centrally located concrete and structural steel structure that houses the campus bell and spot lighting systems.
Challenge
The challenge for this project was the scaffolding required to erect the actual precast and steel structure of the Tower.
Solution
Safety being of primary concern, we hired a specialty scaffolding company to design, fabricate and install the scaffolding for a structure that was 25′ in diameter and 125′ tall. This required close inspection of every nut, bolt, brace, and working platforms that were required for the scaffolding. The result was a successful installation of scaffolding and erection of the actual Tower structure.
