At Syncon LLC, our commitment to the Hampton Roads community goes beyond delivering exceptional construction services. As a service-disabled veteran and minority-owned business, we understand the importance of supporting our neighbors, especially during challenging times.

A Partnership That Makes a Difference

This year, we were honored to support ForKids, a local organization that serves over 400 families daily through comprehensive crisis response, housing, and education services. ForKids works tirelessly to break the cycle of homelessness and poverty—a mission that aligns perfectly with our company values of integrity, fairness, and results.

Our 2025 Community Impact

Our support for ForKids included two major initiatives designed to provide immediate relief and holiday cheer:

Thanksgiving Drive (November 2025)

• Donated $170 in gift cards.
• Provided 11 food baskets to families in need.
• Supported families during National Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week.

Christmas Toy Drive (December 2025)

• Continued our holiday support to bring joy to children in the community.
• Part of our ongoing commitment to year-round community engagement.

Understanding the Need

The statistics paint a clear picture of the challenges our community faces. According to Feeding America’s Map the Meal Gap 2025, an average of 12.81% of individuals within the ForKids service area experience food insecurity. For families working toward stable housing, consistent access to nutritious food is a fundamental building block for long-term success.
